About a year ago, I received a message from Léa, another French expat in Porto who told me she and her partner were about to open a cafe in the heart of Porto and she wanted me to photograph the opening day and the completely refurbished space. I gladly accepted!

I didn't know what kind of place this would be, but she told me it was a small cosy place which serves homemade food, made daily from fresh ingredients, which sounded awesome.

A few weeks later, I discovered The Happy Nest, and its lovely owners, Léa and Capucine, two French girls who fell in love with Porto and moved here from the south of France.

The cafe is beautiful, decorated with a lot of taste, and has the cutest garden, perfect for sunny afternoons. It is one of the cosiest cafés I've ever visited! I loved taking pictures of all the details of the place and of the delicious food (tested and approved of course ;)).

Since that first experience, I've had the chance to work again with Léa and Capucine on several projects, and I cannot resist going to the Happy Nest every time I can!
